The Clovis Community Medical Center Guild delivered a huge surprise to the hospital’s baby nursery in June – a $250,000 pledge that will benefit the more than 3,400 babies born there each year. Guild president Joyce Morrelli announced the gift after the group's June board meeting.

“This gift raises the Guild to the highest donor recognition level for lifetime giving by pushing them over the $1 million mark,” said Katie Zenovich, executive director of the Community Medical Foundation. "They are now members of the prestigious ‘Leon S. Peters Society.’"

The Guild began in 1954 and has never stopped supporting Clovis Community. Members volunteer time – more than 2,500 hours per month – and work on special projects to help the medical center.

Over time, the Guild has given thousands of dollars to help in areas such as the Clovis expansion projects, cardiac cath lab, Clovis’ area of greatest need, televisions for patient rooms, badge scanner improvements – and most recently – the beautiful water fountain feature that welcomes guests to the Clovis campus.

Morrelli said the Guild is proud of their many contributions and the impact they make on Clovis Community.

"The Guild has been with Clovis Community from the beginning and we are so lucky to have their many hours of service that makes such an impact here," Zenovich said. "We so appreciate their generosity and the Guild’s continued support for our hospital."
