That’s why Community Medical Centers has partnered with Fresno State football to Band Together to Beat Cancer as the official game sponsor for the Bulldogs’ Oct. 27 meeting with Hawaii at Bulldog Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN networks.

Our Community Cancer Institute opened this summer, keeping comprehensive cancer care close to home so citizens of the Valley can fight cancer together. This will also be Fresno State’s homecoming, tying that theme together and giving us plenty to celebrate.

The Fresno State Bulldog Marching Band will perform a special halftime show with special appearances by former Bulldog athletes who have survived battles against cancer.

Wristband Giveaway at Bulldogs' Game on October 27

As part of the game’s festivities, Community is sponsoring a light-up wristband giveaway for everyone in attendance and leading a tribute to everyone in our Valley who has fought cancer by having everyone in the stadium light up the band and hold it in the air between the first and second quarters and during halftime.

Bulldog Marching Band Sash Donation

As part of the Bulldog Marching Band’s special Band Together to Beat Cancer performance, band members will wear customized sashes on their uniforms featuring the names of Valley citizens who have fought or are currently fighting cancer.

Generous donors can pledge to support Community’s cancer services, and in turn can choose a name to put on a sash and receive two free game tickets for Oct. 27. After the band’s performance, each donor will receive the sash (via mail) as a one-of-a-kind commemorative keepsake.

Deadline to order is Oct. 14.
