Year after year, 5-star ratings at Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital assures patients that they are getting top surgical care, said Vascular Surgeon Randall G. Stern. He attributes the hospital’s sustained excellence to a focus on training, consistent care and the patient’s experience.
HealthGrades®, a national independent health care ratings organization, has rated Fresno Heart & Surgical as 5-stars for the fourth year in a row for the quality of its vascular care. The recognition is based on HealthGrades’ annual Hospital Quality in America study, which analyzed patient outcomes at 5,000 hospitals nationwide. HealthGrades found that typical patients at 5-star rated hospitals had a 63% lower risk of developing one or more in-hospital complications compared to those in a 1-star hospital, and a 43% lower risk of developing in-hospital complications compared to the U.S. hospital average.
