Leon S. Peters Burn Center receives grant for burn prevention education



Representatives from James G. Parker Insurance and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company presented a check for $12,087 to Sandra Yovino, director of burn services at the Leon S. Peters Burn Center at Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno.

Representatives from James G. Parker Insurance and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company presented a check for $12,087 to Sandra Yovino, director of burn services at the Leon S. Peters Burn Center at Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno.

The grant will be used to create a public service campaign in English and Spanish to enhance the center’s burn prevention education program and to purchase educational materials. The materials will be distributed in the nine counties served by Community Regional’s burn center – the only comprehensive burn center from Los Angeles to Sacramento.
