UCSF Fresno Offers New Testing and Education for Better Diabetes Management

Annette Simmons of Clovis had diabetes fatigue. She had pricked her fingers so many times to check her blood glucose that calluses had formed on her fingertips. So, when UCSF Fresno’s Varsha Babu, MD, suggested Simmons try a continuous glucose monitor that would allow her to control her diabetes without painful fingersticks, Simmons quickly agreed.
