Our nervous system helps us see, walk, talk and take in the world around us.

Changes in these abilities — like blurred vision, slurred words, confusion and severe headaches — can be symptoms of underlying disease that requires comprehensive and immediate treatment.

Brain, Spine & Pain — All in One Place

We bring together specialists in neurology, neurosurgery, neurodiagnostics, interventional neuroradiology, stroke and the spine to treat adult and pediatric patients experiencing a wide range of nervous system diseases, including those arriving in our emergency department with head trauma or stroke symptoms.

World-Class Care That's Close to Home

When you or your loved one is dealing with a neurological condition or trauma, the last thing you want to worry about is travel plans. Leaving the area for surgery or care outside the Central Valley involves organizing transportation, housing, follow-up care and rehabilitation appointments.

When you choose to stay in the Valley, you're choosing to be close to home, to family and to your care team whenever you need us.

Center of Excellence

What kind of neurological care can you expect to receive at Community?

  • Community Regional Medical Center is the first and only hospital in Central California to receive a “Center of Excellence” designation in neuroscience.

  • In 2022, we were recognized nationally by the American Heart Association for the Stroke Gold Plus, Target Stroke Honor Roll. Hospitals that receive the Get With The Guidelines® Gold Plus Achievement Award have reached an aggressive goal of treating patients to core standard levels of care as outlined by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association® for two consecutive calendar years or more.

  • Our stroke program nursing team is National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certified. The NIHSS scale helps predict short- and long-term outcomes after a stroke, and can help plan care.

We believe our unique culture of excellent care, provider education and mentorship, and world-class technology, support and rehabilitation offers you the Valley’s best neuroscience care — all close to home.
