Our volunteers are a diverse group who generously give thousands of hours each year to support our patients, families and staff. Volunteers are an essential part of carrying out Community’s mission to better the lives of all those we serve.
Some volunteer opportunities include:
Helping to discharge patients
Greeting and escorting patients and visitors
Running errands for hospital departments
Staffing the campus shuttle at Community Regional and Clovis Community
Staffing the gift shop at Clovis Community Medical Center
Performing clerical duties

If you're over 16 years of age and able to fulfill the 4 hours a week/100 hours a year requirement, please send an application email to volunteerservices@communitymedical.org. Make sure to view the complete list of volunteer requirements (below) before applying.
To volunteer for Community, you must:
Dedicate a minimum of 100 hours in a 1-year period
Commit to at least one 3-4 hour shift on the same day and time each week
Attend orientation and ongoing training
Purchase and complete a background check (adults 18 and over)

Volunteers are placed in a variety of departments throughout our hospitals based upon each facility's need. We do our best to place volunteers in areas of their interest if possible. However, placements are not guaranteed in specific departments and may change if deemed appropriate.
Volunteers remain in their assigned area for their 6-month/100-hour commitment period.
Volunteers are generally scheduled for the same day and time on a weekly basis. Please consider your schedule, school, work and family obligations before making a commitment to volunteer.
