Your planned gift can support any department or program at Community Health System. You can designate your funds to support burn care, cancer care, Terry’s House, neuroscience, neonatal intensive care (NICU), trauma or the area of greatest need — or any area that touches your heart.

Bequests

We can work with you to include language in your will or trust to designate “Community Health System, Office of Philanthropy” as a beneficiary. There are several ways to do this:

• A dollar amount
• A specific asset
• A percentage of your estate
• The remainder of your estate

Retirement plans

Donating your retirement assets, like a 401(k) or IRA, is an excellent strategy for fulfilling your charitable goals. Retirement assets left to family are often significantly depleted through estate and income taxes. 

By designating “Community Health System, Office of Philanthropy” as the beneficiary:

• The full value of the gift is transferred to the hospitals tax free

• Your estate receives a charitable deduction  

Life insurance
