Botulinum toxin is a purified substance that's derived from bacteria. Injections of botulinum toxin block the nerve signals to the muscle in which it’s injected. Without a signal, the muscle isn’t able to contract.
 
There are many brands of botulinum toxin available for cosmetic injectable use. We currently offer Botox® and Jeuveau®.
 

What are Botox® & Jeuveau®?

Botox® has become perhaps the best recognized brand name for botulinum toxin injectables since it was the first approved by the FDA in 1999. Jeuveau® is a much more recent brand, and was initially approved in 2019.

Like other types of botulinum toxin injectables, Botox® and Jeuveau® work by temporarily blocking the nerve signals to the injected muscles. Wrinkles are reduced and often eliminated because the muscles responsible for them are weakened.
 

What can botulinum toxin injectables treat?

Treatment goals may include:

• Smoothing crow's feet, forehead furrows, frown lines, lip lines and bunny lines (lines around your nose)
• Diminishing neck bands
